Winter Friends Primitive Snowman Doll

Building snowmen with my sisters, during the frigid Iowa winters, was one of my favorite things to do, and one of my first opportunities as a child, to create. I never grow tired of building them, in the snow or on my sewing machine. Winter Friends includes an 18” plush felt snowman, with a rusty square head nail for his nose, beady little black eyes and an embroidered mouth and brows. He is sporting a black felt hat decorated with pine cones and winter berries, a blue plaid scarf with a rusty star embellishment and has rusty bells scattered down his front. He is carrying a 16” grapevine broom, on which he has offered a roosting spot to his winter friend, the wise little owl. The owl measures 4”, is made from cotton fabric, has a rusty square head nail for his nose, fabric eyes and grapevine wings. Winter Friends is handmade by me, Laura Hakes, the original designer. They will come to you signed and dated, with a rusty heart on the snowman’s sleeve, indicating this is an original Fiddlestix Design. Don’t let this one get away!
